WEllfunded particpates as a judge in the Startup Salad at Concordia Univeristy

The Asia-Pacific Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation hosted a 3-day event at Concordia University called Startup Salad. The event ran from May 5-7 in Montreal focusing on pitching new ideas to judges, receiving mentorships, and chances to network with investors. ​​

Mikael Charette named Vice President of Innovation Gatineau

Our very own Mikael Charette, Managing Partner of WEllfunded was named Vice President of Innovation Gatineau. 

 

Innovation Gatineau is a unique incubator model. Fully funded by the private sector, it brings together all the levers and professional services under one roof to create a startup and accelerate its development.

WEllfunded Managing Partner, Mikael Charette sat with a panel of judges to hear the business plans of four graduating students from Algonquin College.

At the end of the final semester of the Business Management and Entrepreneurship Program, the school hosts a competition judged by experts in the business world.  The competition is held at the Woodroffe Campus, where four of the top students face off for a grand prize of $2000 in cash and services. ​

Innovation Gatineau is an incubator and accelerator for technology companies. The mission of the incubator is to increase the chances of survival of Startups by providing them with the resources necessary for their growth.

It is the ideal place for startups to establish themselves in Gatineau.

WEllfunded programs will be offered there in French as of Spring 2017.

We're excited to bring you Startup Weekend Ottawa hosted by uOttawa! All are welcomed to join this 54-hour event to start up your ideas. Our goal is to connect students across all faculties to encourage and promote entrepreneurship regardless of discipline of study while connecting these students to Ottawa's startup community. This time around, we have four categories in which participants can choose to compete in:

1) General 
2) Social Impact
3) Mobile Health
4) Makers

AC Wolf DEN Competition - WEllfunded Sponsor & MC Wolf

On March 14, Algonquin College will be holding its 2nd annual Wolves’ Den competition! Student entrepreneurs will be selected to pitch their entrepreneurial ideas in front of Industry “Wolves” with the exciting outcome of leaving with start-up support. Students and employees are invited to come see these AC entrepreneurs in action as they battle to prove the value of their ideas to the Wolves.

Finance Minister Bill Morneau's and WEllfunded Managing-Partner Mikael Charette discussed the federal government's investment commitment in innovation in 2017 budget. We discussed the export and international SalesLAB initiatives.
